Creatine
What is the best
creatine ?
kre-alkalyn, monohydrate, tri-creatine? Are there any dangers in consuming it? Side effects ?
A word of advice, avoid.
Creatine is not very bad as long as you take it in excess (beyond 3gr per day it seems to me) but hey it is not the ultimate supplement I think
I think it’s the monohydrate the best but I’m not sure (in any case c the one I saw the post talked about so good)
Kre-Alkalyn Ist is the best creatine. No water retention like the monohydrate.
Creatine is used for sale in one form (creatine monohydrate) in a bucket of loose powder. Over the years, they have added all of these different forms of creatine, delivery systems, or additional ingredients. It can be very confusing on the most effective form and what are the side effects for each one. This article is going to give you an overview of them all, so that you can find the best forms of creatine.
Creatine Monohydrate:
Creatine Creatine Monohydrate is the original. It is on this one that all the scientific studies have been carried out. You want to buy it from brands that have the Creapure mark on it, which means it’s quality and from Germany. Without it, it’s probably made in China and low in quality.
The problem with creatine monohydrate is that it has a very low solubility, and can cause an upset stomach, and bloating. Creatine “non-responders” is also common in this form, which is not surprising since it only has a 1% absorption rate.
Liquid (serum) of creatine:
This creatine is a scam. Read more about this in a previous article: Does Liquid Creatine Work?
Tri and Di Creatine Malate:
Creatine malate is formed by creatine monohydrate and malic acid. Malic acid is directly involved in the Krebs cycle, the main energy cycle of the cell. Users report more muscle energy and stamina over regular creatine monohydrate as a result. Creatine malate is also more soluble in water, and absorbed into the body at a higher rate, than regular creatine monohydrate. Creatine Malate also requires no loading phase.
Creatine Ethyl Ester (EEC):
EEC has been hyped as having more solubility and stability against gastric acidity compared to creatine monohydrate. Despite all the hype of the past few years, there has never been a study to prove it and, recently, a study even contradicting these claims.
Study source: Department of Life Sciences, Kingston University, Penrhyn Rd, Kingston-upon-Thames, UK. 2 University of Northumbria, Sports Sciences, Northumbria University, Northumberland Building, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
What they did in the study was take 3 EEC products on the market and compare them to regular creatine monohydrate, when mixed in an acid solution (to mimic the stomach). Results after 30 minutes showed that the EEC had degraded to 60-70% of its original creatine level to creatinine. After 2 hours, the EEC had deteriorated even more. The study showed that the claims by the supplement manufacturers for CEECs is false. Although, these studies show that CEECs have a strong degradation in water, that does not mean that it is totally negative. Remember, creatine monohydrate is also unstable in liquid, like CEEC.
Effervescent creatine:
Creatine combination with sodium and sugar. Not really any different than creatine monohydrate except superfluous ingredients combined. it is also very expensive.
Micronized Creatine: Micronized Creatine
is micronized creatine monohydrate. This increases the area of it and results in much better absorption in the body. This creatine would be more effective, than creatine monohydrate and also have fewer side effects. Always requires an adaptation phase.
Creatine Citrate:
Creatine bound to a citrate molecule. Even if it has better absorption the dosage should be twice as large.
Creatine Kre-Alkalyn:
Creatine stuck to Kre-Alkalyn. Superior if absorption does not require change: bloating and stomach problems. No studies have been done on the health side effects of this creatine either.
Creatine Orate:
Creatine bound to the Orate molecule which is derived from oratic acid. ESPON has special energy properties because of it being a precursor to the nucleic acids that are needed to build ATP (the universal energy currency in muscle cells). Another creatine that has no ongoing studies on the side effects of the ESPON molecule. Unfortunately, ESPON, creatine is also very expensive.
The best form of creatine:
There are many good forms of creatine, but Creatine Malate is probably the best form of creatine, this is due to the high energy absorption and the unique effects of Malate. If you don’t experience side effects and respond to them well, creatine monohydrate is still fine. Many people continue to use the original creatine monohydrate and have great results. Creatine Monohydrate is backed by years of research proven to be safe, and at the best price
In my eyes, crapure remains a safe source!
the most famous and used in the bodybuilding world.
In my eyes the creatapure (It is a 100% pure monohydrate, it is this which brings the best assimilation) remains a source on!
the most famous and used in the bodybuilding world.
Oula Sorry I had a little Editing Problem!
