Fortified foods and food supplements.
I have a file to do, the theme: Enriched foods and doping.
I would like to know if food supplements such as protein powder, amino acids, creatine ect … could be considered as fortified foods …
I searched the internet and can not get an answer, I hope you can help me !!!
Well already you should define what you mean by fortified food …
There is all my problem … I am in chemistry license and would like to avoid making a mistake by talking about food supplement whereas fortified foods are called as the basic food product to which we add calcium or iron .. .
Since your file will be based on the definition that TU gives to fortified foods, well I would say that before starting (So in your intro) you need to explain what will be included in fortified foods.
Enriched with what? In what way? If I put sugar in my tea, is it fortified tea? ^^ ‘
Thank you for your answer ! So if I understood correctly according to you I can define them as such …
Well yeah I think if you haven’t set a current definition or if there isn’t a pre-established definition and accepted by everyone in the world of nutrition well it’s up to you to say what that you will consider as fortified foods in your file
Because then, you will base your plan, your theses coughed on this initial definition, right?
So it has to be clear and precise
Yes, but if I type fortified foods on the internet I come across definitions “These are foods to which certain nutritional factors are added such as vitamins or minerals
(oilgo-elements in particular)”. But with such a definition I do not see the link with doping while with taking a full complement one could wonder and wonder about this practice …
