Novice food supplements
I have come to seek some advice regarding dietary supplements.
Indeed, I have been in sport for a little less than a month now (Cardio 2x / week + weight training every 2 days)
I have heard about food supplements such as fat burners and supplements for mass gain ..
I have never been a great athlete so
I mostly have a lot of fat and not really muscle, I tried to search the net for information but I found myself with 50,000 different burners on more or less reliable sites .. Ditto for mass gain.
So first question is this kind of product effective for a little athlete like me who has just started or is it more aimed at “high” level athletes?
And if ever someone could advise me for such or such brand … Thank you!
Indeed, do not put the cart before the horse.
A food supplement “completes” your diet. So your diet comes first and it is this that will bring you the results, with your training of course.
Once your diet is well established, supplements can help. Protein can get you … more protein, if you can’t eat enough.
Fat burners will slightly increase your metabolism and your ability to tap into your fat stores. But, it remains quite marginal.
The only ones whose (slight) effects have been proven are coffee, guarana, green tea, etc. Each one having its small peculiarities but all containing caffeine (or theine, but it’s the same thing).
So there you go, I think you can save your money and not buy any of that stuff.
On the other hand, you can drink a few coffees during the day and drink green tea, for example. It’s a good compromise.
Each one having its small peculiarities but all containing caffeine (or theine, but it’s the same thing).
The advantage of theine over caffeine is that it is released without a peak and over a longer period of time.
