GOJI AND GINSENG
What food supplement to avoid getting sick?
“if you have a food supplement experience please share with me, vitamins to avoid catching viruses, angina etc …………… thank you”
This is my experience over 30 years of daily vegetarian nutrition.
I can say that health is in the plate but also in the head.
I have spent 20 years working hard in Asia and have always been in good shape despite the harsh environmental conditions. I attribute this to my consumption of the famous Korean Ginseng but also the Goji berry that I discovered in Asia and that I have taken regularly for years. These are red berries with a very pleasant sweet flavor, when they are of good quality!
I found on the medical publications of the government of the USA, 92 studies which are cited on lycium barbarum (Himalayan goji). In summary:
The analyzes highlight an exceptional richness in polysaccharide elements, immuno-stimulants, anti -oxidants, vitamins, trace elements.
Since 1991 in China and since 1999 in the West, curious specialists have been studying it in their lab:
the ORAC index (measure of the antioxidant power) of Goji “Lycium Barbarum” is it seems the highest of all foods known, up to 20 times more than the best citrus fruits (lemon, orange, etc.)
Goji berries contain:
19 amino acids (constituting proteins) including 8 essential amino acids that cannot be synthesized by organization. More protein than whole grains.
21 minerals and trace elements (iron, copper, zinc, germanium…). Goji is one of the rare plants to contain germanium which is known for its anti cancer effects.
a full range of carotenoids, including beta-carotene (precursor of vitamin A), lutein and zeaxanthin (major protectors of vision)
group B vitamins (B1, B2, B6)
vitamin C (many more than orange), and vitamin E (tocopherol)
essential fatty acids including omega 3
betaine (precursor of choline and regulator of homocysteine, whose blood level is an excellent indicator of cardiovascular risk )
22 complex polysaccharide molecules, including 4 specific ones, with a major anti-aging action, stimulator of natural defenses
The Times magazine, with more than 24 million monthly readers, has nicknamed it “Superfruit”!
To find out more, you can listen to radio and TV broadcasts about it.
We can hear surprising testimonials from Goji consumers. We talk about diabetes, cholesterol, pain, natural immunities, mood regulation, vitality and the fight against aging, etc.
Since I returned to France, I have been buying this dried fruit from an importer recognized for its integrity, which has established a fair trade network with producers from the Himalayas.
This is where I found the quality of the one I used to consume in Asia.
I phone, the people are nice and competent and I am sent a kg of dried Goji berries in 48 hours with 2 pages of explanations and a certificate of organic farming.
Since I have been eating these Goji berries (Lycium Barbarum L.), I have given up on the other food supplements that I took before (vitamin complexes, trace minerals, omega, royal jelly and other plants). Hello savings!
A big plus that this Goji brings is the feeling of mental clarity and good humor.
For Tibetans, this berry is the fruit of a smile because it would suffice to eat a handful each morning, to experience joy and serenity until the evening …
I also continue to take concentrated extract of the real ginseng root, it helps when you eat badly outside or in case of stress at work, in the city, with the children …
Le Goji market evolving every year and every season, in quality and price, I can send you an article of about 1500 words with updated information including some good addresses. Just write to me in MP or to
