Sibutral (reductil) attention ???? !!!
For the past few days I have been learning about reductil everywhere, I’m ready to buy it because apparently it makes you lose a lot of weight !! but
I just found this on the GROS.org site !!
NOTICE: For responder subjects (in whom Sibutral has a positive effect on eating behavior) what happens after one year? The effect of Sibutral is obviously only maintained as long as you take it. And so, as with any drug, considering it as a sufficient answer to the problems of obesity and overweight is a matter of magic. Taking a drug does not exempt from taking into consideration the difficulties in relation to food, the psychological and social, emotional and relational difficulties, in relation to weight problems.
Additional note of April 10, 2002. WARNING!
As Sibutramine caused serious side effects as well as 2 deaths, the Italian authorities suspended the marketing of the product. Sibutramine remains marketed in France to this day, but the Knoll laboratory recalls that the doctor must imperatively measure blood pressure and take the pulse every 15 days for the first 3 months, every month for the following 3 months, then every 3 months, and stop the treatment on the pulse and blood pressure increase respectively by 10 beats / minute or 10 mm Hg.
I don’t know what to do if I really have to order some anyway ?? it’s scary !!!

Tuesday, March 19, 2002 US consumers demand withdrawal of anti-obesity drug
NEW YORK, March 19 (Reuters Health) – The consumer association “Public Citizen”, the work of Ralph Nader, called on Tuesday the Withdrawal of the obesity treatment Meridia (sibutramine, Abbott Laboratories) from the US market after the manufacturer said the drug was linked to 29 deaths in the US since its launch in 1998.
Public Citizen’s request comes as the Italian health authorities have just decided to withdraw drugs containing sibutramine following two deaths in eleven months of marketing.
According to the association, of the 29 American deaths, 19 were caused by cardiovascular side effects of the drug. She adds that 397 “severe side effects” were reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) between February 1998 and September 2001.
“The effect of sibutramine in promoting weight loss is limited and it is not known. whether this drug, or any drug in that area, can be safely taken for a period long enough to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with obesity, “says Public Citizen Director Sidney Wolf in a letter to to Minister of Health, Tommy Thompson.
Abbott officials confirm they are aware of the deaths but say the causal link to sibutramine has not been established.
This is the fifth drug withdrawal request made by Public Citizen since 1996. Of the four previous ones, two were successful: the treatment of obesity Redux (fenfluramine, Wyeth) and the anti-diabetic Rezulin (troglitazone, Warner Lambert, now Pfizer).
The product is sold under the name Sibutral in France.
yes and so, that surprises you?
putting your life in danger for being overweight is abysmal.
Remember that being overweight is the CONSEQUENCE of inner conflicts, not the cause. We must therefore tackle the cause.
