What is MAGNESIUM used for?
Thank you for your answers
Magnesium as a food supplement outside of a specific therapeutic indication (proven deficiency, pregnancy, malabsorption …) is useless. A balanced diet will provide all the magnesium necessary for the functioning of the body. It was prescribed over and over again for years, used as a placebo as well, which ended up being delisted for the record.
Magnesium as a nutrient has many functions including the nervous system, immune system, bones, metabolism etc …
Vitamin B6 promotes the assimilation of various nutrients.
“Vitamin B6 is involved in the energy intake
of the athlete, by promoting neof = glycogenesis.
It acts as a co-factor in numerous chemical reactions involving the metabolism of amino acids, for tissue or hormonal synthesis.
It is thus involved in particularly in the synthesis of
Beta Alanine from Aspartic Acid, Taurine from Cysteic Acid.
Similarly, it participates in certain hormonal syntheses, such as Serotonin from Tryptophan, GABA from Glutamic Acid,
Dopamine from Tyrosine.
Finally, it is involved in the synthesis of Niacin (vitamin PP or B3) from Tryptophan. ”
